Paid, structured training
Product certification, objection handling and floor mechanics — taught properly before you are expected to represent a partner brand, and refreshed whenever a line changes.
Careers
Every leadership role at EBM was filled by someone who started on a retail floor. If you want a job where progression is defined rather than hinted at, read on.
Why EBM
You will spend your shifts on a retail floor, talking to strangers about a product you have been trained on properly. Some conversations go nowhere. Some days are slow. The people who thrive here are the ones who treat the tenth conversation with the same care as the first.
In exchange: paid structured training, a field leader who works beside you rather than emailing targets at you, weekly one-to-one coaching, and a written path to the next role. We promote from within because we would rather develop someone who knows our standard than hire someone who does not.
What You Get
Posters do not develop people. Schedules, coaching and clear criteria do.
Product certification, objection handling and floor mechanics — taught properly before you are expected to represent a partner brand, and refreshed whenever a line changes.
A standing meeting with your field leader about your numbers, your habits and what is next — not an annual review that arrives too late to be useful.
Representative to senior representative to field leader to account management, with written criteria for each step. Every leader here came up this route.
Placements across Saginaw, Bay City, Midland, Flint and Mount Pleasant. No relocation, no long-haul travel, no living out of a hotel.
Small enough that everyone knows your name and notices when you are having a rough shift. Briefings are a conversation, not a lecture.
Communication under pressure, qualifying honestly, reading a room, coaching others. Useful here, and useful wherever you go next.
Open Positions
Hiring is ongoing across the field team. Apply to the role that fits, or send your details and we will tell you honestly where you would slot in.
The floor role, and the one nearly everyone starts in. You will be certified on a partner product line, placed in a Mid-Michigan store, and coached daily. No experience required; a genuine willingness to talk to people is.
For representatives who have hit standard consistently and are ready to help set it. You will still work the floor, plus assist with certification and support newer team members through their first weeks.
Running a store team day to day: briefings, live coaching, quality checks and the store-management relationship. Promoted from within — we do not hire this role externally.
Owning a brand partnership end to end: the plan, the reporting, the honest conversations when the market disagrees with the strategy. Requires floor experience, because the reporting has to be credible.
Apply
We read every application ourselves and reply within one business day — including when the answer is no. If you would rather talk first, call (989) 372-1664.
What happens next: a short phone conversation, an in-person interview in Saginaw, then a paid day observing a retail floor so you can see the job before you commit to it.
Questions
No. Most of our team started with none. Training is paid and structured, and we would rather teach a coachable person the craft than inherit someone else's shortcuts.
No. Compensation is discussed openly in the first interview — base structure, performance incentives, and how progression affects pay. You should never have to guess what a job pays.
A short phone conversation, an in-person interview in Saginaw, then a paid day observing a retail floor. That last step matters — we would rather you saw the job honestly than accepted it on a description.
It helps, since coverage spans five counties. That said, plenty of placements are single-location and involve no travel between stores — tell us your situation and we will be straight about what is workable.
Within one business day, including if the answer is no. Being left waiting is the most common complaint people have about applying for jobs, and it is an easy one to fix.
Still Deciding?
No application needed. If you want to know what a shift really involves before you send a resume, we will tell you.
