Saginaw, Michigan · Retail Marketing

Brands are built in the aisle, not in the abstract.

EBM Marketing puts trained representatives on Mid-Michigan retail floors, where buying decisions actually happen. We introduce products, answer real questions, and hand our partners honest feedback from the people who use what they sell.

What We Do

Four disciplines, one conversation at a time.

Every engagement is built around the same idea: a well-trained person, standing in the right store, having a useful conversation. Everything else — the scheduling, the reporting, the coaching — exists to protect that moment.

In-Store Representation

We staff retail floors with representatives who know the product line properly — not from a script, but from training, testing and time on the floor.

Customer Acquisition

Face-to-face acquisition that respects the shopper. We qualify honestly, explain clearly, and never trade a long-term account for a short-term number.

Explore

Product Education

Retail staff turn over, and product lines change. We keep store teams fluent in what they are selling so the brand is represented well even when we are not there.

Explore

Account Support

The work after the sale — questions, upgrades, billing confusion, the small frustrations that quietly cost brands customers. We handle them in person.

Explore

Territory Coverage

Saginaw, Bay City, Midland, Flint and Mount Pleasant, scheduled around each store's real traffic rather than a convenient calendar.

Explore

Field Reporting

What shoppers asked, what confused them, what a competitor said two aisles over. Reported weekly, in plain language, whether or not it flatters the plan.

Who We Are

A Mid-Michigan team that treats retail as a craft.

EBM Marketing was built on an unglamorous premise: most brands lose customers not because the product is wrong, but because nobody was there to explain it. We put that person in the store.

Our team is local. We live in the communities we work in, which means a bad interaction on a Saturday afternoon is not an abstraction — it is a neighbour. That accountability shapes how we hire, how we train, and what we are willing to promise a partner.

How We Work

Five steps, and none of them are guesswork.

A launch that skips the boring parts fails in month two. This is the sequence we run for every brand partner, in order.

  1. 01

    Brand immersion

Before anyone stands in a store, we learn the product properly — pricing, competitors, objections, the questions your support line hears most. We would rather ask uncomfortable questions now than improvise in front of your customer.

  2. 02

    Team selection and certification

Representatives are matched to the account, then certified against it. Nobody represents a partner brand on a retail floor until they can handle the hard version of the conversation, not just the easy one.

  3. 03

    Store-level launch

We coordinate with store management on placement, hours and expectations, so our presence supports the floor rather than competing with it. Good relationships with store staff are an asset we protect.

  4. 04

    Daily coaching and quality checks

Field leaders work alongside the team, not above it. Interactions are observed, debriefed and corrected the same day — which is the only point at which correction is cheap.

  5. 05

    Reporting and adjustment

Weekly reporting covers volume, quality and what we heard on the floor. When the market tells us the plan is wrong, we say so and propose the change rather than waiting to be asked.

Training & Development

We hire for character and train relentlessly.

Most of our team arrived with no retail marketing background at all. What they had was the willingness to be coached and the discipline to show up on a slow Tuesday with the same energy as a busy Saturday.

Training is not an onboarding week that ends. It is daily role-play, weekly one-to-ones, product recertification whenever a line changes, and a clear path from representative to field leader to account management — which is how every one of our leaders got their role.

Whether you are launching in Mid-Michigan or fixing coverage that is not working, the first conversation is a straight one: what we can do, what we cannot, and what it takes.
